Why Collective Benefits?
Right now, flexible workers - the taxi drivers that get us home safely, the couriers that deliver our food and the people who care for our loved ones - face a fragile financial existence. Despite suffering a higher risk of physical and mental harm on the job, the majority do not have the financial protections in place to feel safe at work.
This isn’t right. We believe that they deserve to live and work without compromise, so we’re doing something about it. We work with leading companies - JustEat, Wolt, Stuart and TaskRabbit, to name a few - to provide the right protections to their workers. Together, we’re making independent work, work for everyone.
We’ve got backing from the people behind Deliveroo, Zoopla and Cazoo, some of the most prestigious and well known VCs in the world:
We have been featured in publications such as The Economist, Sifted and Forbes, and are rapidly expanding operations across the UK, Europe, and beyond.
A brief overview of what you’ll be doing
As the Marketing Associate at Collective Benefits, you’ll be working as part of a close-knit team to drive our brand and demand generation strategy forward. Social media’s a big part of the role; we’re looking for someone who’s bang up to date with online trends, and has the confidence to bring a bold, offbeat voice to our B2B social accounts (primarily LinkedIn and Twitter).
The role isn't just limited to social media, though. You’ll develop your skills across a broad spectrum of marketing activities; from email marketing and working on regular online and in-person events, to figuring out how to best promote our brand through PR and awards entries and conducting regular customer and industry research.
We’re excited to work with someone who can write with confidence and speed, pays attention to detail, and understands the potential of the role; there’s a huge scope for progression within a fast-growing company for an individual who’s willing to get stuck in and get their hands dirty.
Three reasons this role is great:
You’ll make a tangible difference - we’re building a business that will provide the benefits and advantages that independent workers badly need. You’ll be able to help shape and influence our direction as we scale the company even further.
You’ll sit within our close-knit marketing team that have an abundance of experience to bounce ideas off, ask for guidance and learn from.
Our marketing function is just ramping up. We’ve got ambitious targets, and understand the potential the role can play in our growth strategy. This is an opportunity for you to show how you can impact revenue targets in a fast- growing business.
What will you do?
Owning our social media accounts: we want someone to help us craft a unique tone of voice that cuts through the noise and gets us noticed. No idea is too out-of-the-box for us, and it’s an opportunity to really get creative and make a difference. As well as writing, creating and posting, you’ll be planning with the Marketing Manager, working closely with the design team to bring your asset ideas to life and tracking the stats to report on what’s working, what’s not and how we can continually improve.
Getting stuck into marketing campaigns: whether it’s a go-to-market plan for an innovative new product, promoting a piece of our research or testing our a guerilla-style idea to build our brand, you’ll be involved in the execution of bringing multi-channel campaigns to life
Writing short and long form copy: you’ll get the chance to hone your copywriting skills, working on email marketing, paid and social media ads and awards submissions and case studies.
Assisting with events: whether that’s a webinar on the hot topics of the gig economy or an in-person party for the businesses we work with, you’ll be working closely with the Marketing Manager on building our brand and drawing in prospective clients through planning, coordinating and executing regular events
Conducting regular research: what are our customers talking about? What do our partners want to hear from us? Conducting regular research and content listening is a vital part of ensuring we stay on-the-pulse and relevant
